Pilates

Pilates is a very mindful form of exercise which will focus on strength, toning, core, breathing, posture, balance, coordination, mobility, flexibility and relaxation.

It is suitable for both men and women (18+), of all abilities and fitness levels.

Pilates Classes

Gain all the benefits of Pilates whilst working out as part of the GTHF community.

Classes are 1 hour long.

You will get a full body workout comprising of all the Pilates principles.

Options are given throughout so that everybody can work at their own level.

Pilates can be a great workout by itself, or as a complimentary workout to other exercise.

Classes are a great way to exercise socially and be part of a community.

1:1 Personal Pilates

Work with Gemma as your private Pilates Instructor.

1 hour sessions , online via Zoom, or in person.

You will get a personalised Pilates workout programme, designed to help you achieve your goals, as well as support between sessions.

2:1 Pilates

Similar to 1:1 but where 2 people can share a 1 hour session and practice together.

Great for friends, couples, family members, etc.

Available online via Zoom, or in-person.

Beginners Course

I run a 5-week ‘Beginners Pilates - Understanding the Basics’ course, which is designed for people who have never done Pilates and want to start.

You will go from knowing nothing in week 1 to understanding all about how and being able to perform a full workout by week 5.

Course includes 5 1-hour sessions, handouts and video resources, programmes to practices, support throughout the duration of the course.

We cover both theory and practice.

Breathing


1:1 Yoga Breath Coaching

Yoga Breath is safe, simple and scientific-based. It can be done by anyone, anywhere.

In this course you will learn the different exercises (coffee, water and whiskey), when and how to use them.

The course is comprised of 4 x 40minute sessions (1 per week), either online via Zoom or in person.

Each session includes breathing exercises, discussions, and a mini educational talk (a different topic each week), giving you the knowledge you need to understand breathing and how we can use it.

There is 15 minutes daily homework. Support is provided throughout the course, to motivate and keep you accountable, and answer any questions.

Breathing happens naturally. But there are many breathing techniques we can use to change our bodies and the way we feel.

Benefits of using breathing exercises include: Improved digestion, sleep and focus, less stress, relaxation, and boosted energy levels.

Sleep

Sleep is a very important part, just like exercise or nutrition, of being able to live healthily. It is essential that we all get enough sleep - both in quantity and quality.

Benefits of proper sleep include: More energy, better focus, less stress and illness, improved immune system, recovery, memory and productivity.


1:1 Sleep Coaching

The Sleep course is comprised of:

Undergo an initial assessment of your current sleep.

Receive a personalised programme to work on to change your habits/lifestyle which will improve your sleep.

Attend 6 weekly 40 minute sessions either online via Zoom, or in person.

Each session will include discussions on challenges you face and how your programme is working, making any necessary adaptations to it. Also receive a mini educational talk - each session covering a different topic - so that you learn everything you need to know about how sleep affects our lives and health, enabling you to make informed habits and choices in future.

Support between sessions to keep you accountable, help and advice, and give you confidence to make the right choices for you.


Meditation

1:1 Mindful Meditation

Mindful Meditation is a safe and scientific method of meditating, with it’s no-nonsense (no guru, non-religious, no incense) style and basic technique.

This meditation course comprises of 3 x 40 minute sessions, 1 per week, either online via Zoom or in person.

You will learn to meditate using this basic technique, have discussions, and receive educational material.

There will be practice and activities to complete daily between sessions.

Support is provided throughout the course, to motivate and keep you accountable, and answer any questions.


Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra Classes

50 minute classes.

Suitable for both men and women (18+). All experience levels welcome.

This is a social way to practice regularly within a community of like-minded people.

Each class consists of the 30 minutes Yoga Nidra practice itself, along with educational / informational sections to grow your understanding of the practice, and enhance your experience over time.

Small Group Courses

3-week Courses available at Starter, Intermediate and Progressed level. (It is advised that clients do the courses in order).

Sessions are over 3 consecutive weeks, and are 75 minutes long.

These are in-depth sessions consisting of informational sections, actual practice, Q&A.

Homework is provided to gain maximum benefits.

Audios and handouts are included, and also support between sessions.

These courses are ideal for those looking to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Yoga Nidra, and enhance their personal experience.

1:1 Personal Yoga Nidra

Personal Yoga Nidra sessions are available online via Zoom, or in-person.

Sessions are personalised and designed so that you can work towards achieving your own goals, with tailored scripts, audios and practice, along with support between sessions.

Gain a deeper knowledge and discover a more effective experience.

2:1 Yoga Nidra

Available online via Zoom, or in-person

Slightly less personalised but tailored as much as possible to help each person achieve their individual goal.

Laughter Yoga

Laughter Yoga is a fun combination of laughing and breathing exercises with gentle movement.
